Do Not Sell My Personal Information
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) · Last updated: June 2026
If you're a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you specific rights over your personal information. This page explains what those rights are and how to use them. We've kept it straightforward — if anything is unclear, email team@bestguidepick.com.
The short version: we don't sell your data
BestGuidePick does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. We've never done this and have no plans to. "Sale" here means the CCPA's broad definition — transferring data to a business or third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
We also don't buy personal information from data brokers.
That said, our site does use third-party services (analytics, advertising) that may collect data through cookies or similar technologies. Some of these transfers could technically be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under CCPA. If you'd like to opt out of these tracking technologies, see the instructions below.
How to opt out
You have the right to tell us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information. Here's how:
- Adjust your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete third-party cookies. This is the fastest way to stop cross-site tracking. Look in your browser's privacy or security settings.
- Use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, some advertising networks will automatically treat it as a do-not-sell request. You can enable GPC in browsers like Firefox, Brave, or via extensions like Privacy Badger.
- Email us directly. Send a request to team@bestguidepick.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request." We'll process it within 15 business days and confirm by email. You don't need to create an account or provide a password — just an email address so we can reply.
Your other CCPA rights
Beyond opting out of sales, California residents can also:
- Know what we collect. You can ask us to disclose what personal information we've collected about you in the past 12 months. See our Privacy Policy for a detailed breakdown.
- Request deletion. You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. We'll comply unless we need to keep it for legal reasons (like a legal obligation or to complete a transaction you requested).
- Correct inaccurate data. If we have information about you that's wrong, you can ask us to fix it.
- Non-discrimination. We won't treat you differently, charge you more, or provide a lower level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to submit a request
You can exercise any of these rights by emailing team@bestguidepick.com. Please include:
- Enough detail to describe your request (e.g., "delete my data," "show me what you have," "opt out of sale").
- An email address where we can reach you.
We may ask for additional information to verify your identity — this is to make sure we're not handing your data to the wrong person. We'll respond to verified requests within 45 days (and we'll let you know if we need an extension).
Authorized agents
You can also have an authorized agent submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent to provide written proof that you've authorized them to act for you, or we may ask you to verify your identity directly to confirm the request is legitimate.
